Hollander's
Fiction

My over fifty stories have appeared in a variety of magazines, webzines, and anthologies. Most of my stories are dark, bordering on horror, which comes natural if you've done time as a reporter out there in the real world.

Horror is not a genre like the mystery or science fiction or the western. It is not a kind of fiction meant to be confined to the ghetto of a special shelf in libraries and bookstores...Horror is an emotion.

News from the Writing Front

My production is way down due to work demands. I do have a couple of stories out, but I'm not writing as much as I used to.

Editors everywhere ... rejoice.

My story, Hatchie Bottom, is available now at ChiZine. A pretty damn good story. Here's a direct link.

Just Shoes will run in H.P. Lovecraft's Magazine of Horror issue #5 (issue #4 is out now, so #5 will run soon). Subscribe now!

Lord Torquiere is in Thou Shalt Not, an anthology based on the 10 commandments . Buy this book and support your local horror writer.

My story, MFA, is available in an anthology with a great name: Loving the Undead ... An Anthology of Romance, sort of. You gotta love a title like that. It's a funny, undead love story, set at a university. Not autobiographical!

My story, Rabbit Eyes, is still available in Champagne Shivers, an annual anthology out of the Samsdot stable of pubs. This is a rare story for me in which kids are the main characters.
