"Horror is not a genre like the mystery or science fiction or the western. It is not a kind of fiction meant to be confined to the ghetto of a special shelf in libraries and bookstores...Horror is an emotion." Douglas E. Winter, |
My over fifty stories have appeared in a variety of magazines, webzines, and anthologies. Most of my stories are dark, bordering on horror, which comes natural if you've done time as a reporter out there in the real world. My production is way down due to work demands. I'm not writing as much as I used to, causing editors everywhere to rejoice. My story, Hatchie Bottom, is still available at ChiZine. A pretty damn good story. Here's a direct link if you want to read it still. And why wouldn't you? Just Shoes will supposedly run in H.P. Lovecraft's Magazine of Horror issue #5. As Montresor told Fortunato in Poe's classic short story The Cask of Amontillado, "I have my doubts." I think the magazine is dead, which is too bad, but luckily I was paid in advance. Want a complete list? See my bibliography link to the upper left. Some are still out there, either in print or online. |
